Our team was referred to Connektus team from one of our faithful clients to initiate the discovery phase and understanding the pain points which the client was adamant to undo on his new design experience.

Challenge & Objectives

The client was keen to utilize a robust CMS solution for his new web build which is easy to manage and doesn't require consistent leverage on tech teams to edit the content and media elements of the website. WordPress was quickly identified as the ideal solution because of the ability to manage website more efficiently through rich editorial experience and extending the possibility to scale the website in future whenever they want.

Our team was assigned to convert the layered photoshop files of news designs into WordPress CMS with a bespoke theme. With a goal in mind to provide rich back-end content editing experience, Advanced Custom Fields was used to create building blocks to help speed up the creation of new pages using the blocks, saving on both out-of-pocket expenses. Our team made sure the designs standout out once they have been coupled with WordPress and are easy to control. With WordPress as a powerful back-end, we have free up much of the technical overhead and complexity surrounding content for them. The new design layout is also far easier for users to navigate and the site is now responsive across all mobile devices.

The website launch was smooth as silk, making this project an overwhelming success.

24 Country Specific Sites

Next was to create the suite of local sites, each tailored to the country of business, including expertly translated local languages. In some instances multiple languages were required, so we made use of WPML, which allows users to switch.

These sites share many features with the group site, but also have an array of additional custom functionality, including:

Technology & Plugins

Besides WordPress Multisite, we implemented Gravity Forms for form data management and personalisation. These forms were also integrated with Campaign Manager for easy email list management.

We used the Google Maps API to create the global locations and stockist map. Whilst we used WPML to handle country sites which required the ability to switch between multiple languages.

The Multisite solution means that any code pushes or updates only need to be carried out once for all sites, saving the client time and money.
